1. Documents for reentry to U.S. for Canadian TN Professionals:
To reenter the U.S. after a brief trip abroad during your period of approved TN employment, Canadian TN professionals need to present the following to the immigration inspector at the port of entry:
  1. Valid passport
  2. Valid unexpired Form I-94 or other evidence entitling the individual for readmission in TN status, including the original fee receipt for admission as TN, or previously issued TN admission stamp in passport
  3. Letter confirming your employment from your UCSC divisional service center or department (dated within 30 days)

 

2. Documents for reentry to U.S. for Mexican TN Professionals:
To reenter the U.S. after a brief trip abroad during your period of approved TN employment, Mexican TN professionals need to present the following to the immigration inspector at the port of entry:

  1. Valid passport
  2. Valid TN visa obtained at a U.S. consulate
  3. Valid unexpired Form I-94 or other evidence entitling the individual for readmission in TN status, including the original fee receipt for admission as TN, or previously issued TN admission stamp in passport
  4. Letter confirming your employment from your UCSC divisional service center or department (dated within 30 days)

 

3. Extensions of TN status:
If you have a petition to extend your TN status pending at the USCIS and need to travel abroad before the extension is approved, please contact the International Scholar Adviser (Phone 831-459-3550 or e-mail to E-Mail gippolit@ucsc.edu and put TN Scholar in subject line) for additional letters and documents required for entry to the U.S.
