Make temporary housing arrangements. If you stay at a local hotel, be sure to ask for UCSC university discount. Many hotels have them (including the University Inn which is affiliated with UCSC). http://www.santacruz.com/Hotels
Due to the high cost of living in the Santa Cruz area, we require that you have a minimum of $1800 per month of financial support for yourself for basic expenses. For family members an additional $1000 per month for spouse and $500 per month for each child are required. Scholars are responsible for arranging their own housing.
